strangers and strange things

1. A person, a stranger on the otherside of the continent made a comment on my Flickr site.
2. I commented back and looked at their photos.
3. More conversation ensued.
4. I looked at their web site and saw their art. I noticed it was for sale.
5. I enquired about the art and my desire to purchase.
6. A response was received and an offer was placed.
7. An address was provided for a place to send payment.
8. A phone call was made to a friend here in the city.
9. A comment was made about the future aquisition of art, a name was dropped.
10. A connection was discovered. My friend here knows the stranger.

The result: the stranger had just sent art to my friend and had been thinking about whether or not they had arrived safe.

You never know where you'll get the message from.
